A woman walks with a touch in Khokana town on the outskirts of Kathmandu. Khokhana was badly affected by the earthquake with many people losing their family members and homes and now living in overcrowded tent cities. Locals are afraid to go back to their homes, frightened by the aftershocks.
On 25 April 2015 a powerful earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck central Nepal, causing widespread destruction and killing approximately 7,760 people (29 April estimate).
