Mahoots - elephant keepers - play football on elephant-back in preparation for the annual Elephant Festival which is held to raise awareness and appreciation for the animals who are facing grave problems as their habitat shrinks. These domesticated elephants live in Kaziranga National Park, visited by thousands of tourists each year.
