A malnourished child is spoonfed milk at the Wajir District Hospital, during a severe drought which has extended across East Africa after the rainy season expected in October 2005 failed to arrive.  Diarrhoea is the primary health risk in the region during the drought, due to bad sanitation and people drinking contaminated water or animal milk..
