Trails through a cornfield possibly left by some of the many undocumented migrants who cross the Hungarian/Serbian border by fording a nearby loop from the Tisza River (local farmers complain of damage to their crops). This route is popular with the migrants since, as yet, there is only the narrow waterway to cross in order to get into Hungary (and the EU). The migrants then usually stay hidden in the forested banks of the Tisza until an opportunity to move on arises, usually a taxi from the nearby city of Szeged. The practice is illegal, but the authorities generally turn a blind eye to the taxi drivers making extra income this way, and at the same time moving on the problem of what to do with the huge numbers of unwanted migrants.
