A street market on the government controlled side of Rasheed Street where life went on as normal close to where protesting youths were involved with an ongoing battle with security forces.

Since the beginning of October 2019 huge anti-government protests have shaken the country. People demanding reforms and an end to corruption and foreign intervention have been met with fierce brutality from security forces. In October alone more than 200 people were said to have been killed.
