A young boy waits to receive his food at the Morning Tears children's home near Xian. Children of criminals in China are often fated for a life on the streets, but in this village near Xian, boys and girls aged between four and 17 find a home and receive an education. There are more than 10,000 prisoners awaiting execution in Chinese jails, which has a knock-on effect on just as many children, who are left to fend for themselves with litle support. Morning Tears is an internationally funded NGO..
