Sheep graze along the road between Arusha and Loliondo. The government of Tanzania is planning to turn this dirt track into a highway that will connect isolated communities and bring much needed development to the marginalised Masaai. However, the highway will cut straight through the Serengeti National Park, a World Heritage Site, disrupting animal migration, which would have disastrous consequences for the entire park ecosystem.
