On 25 April 2015 a powerful earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck Nepal, causing widespread destruction and killing approximately 8,452 people and injuring more then 19,000. Another powerful earthquake hit the country on May 12th, killing hundreds and injuring more then 2000 (May 14th estimate).
