A customs officer with a dog checking a truck. Norwegian authorites introduced strict measures to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in March 2020. This included closing the borders, and any Norwegians returning from abroad is given two weeks quarantine.

Police and soldiers from the Home Guard of the Army (Heimevernet) man checkpoints along side roads and regular border crossings to enforce the travel restrictions.
