17 year old Tara Lama and her husband 23 year old Sundar Lama are delighted with their new child who was born at the Hetauda maternity hospital. The hospital birth was part of a state program instigated to enable women to have hospital births instead of home births and thereby reduce infant and maternal mortality rates at birth.
