Women near a toilet facility in the PoC (Protection of Civilians) site inside the UNMISS base in Bor. The site is currently providing sanctuary to approximately 2,500 internally displaced people (IDPs), predominantly from the ethnic Nuer group. South Sudan's Jonglei state was the scene of fierce fighting after conflict erupted in the country in mid-December 2013, with thousands of civilians seeking shelter at the UN base in the capital, Bor. People living in Bor are mostly Dinka and the Nuers in the PoC camp risk attack or even death if they set foot outside.
