Women of the village weeding the grounds outside the Imah Gede. Dfferent families are assigned different duties and these are passed on from generation to generation. The jobs may vary from owning and caring for the buffaloes that tend the fields, to making the blades of the knives that the men carry around. These duties are viewed as a privilege and a way to pay ones' respects through service for the community.
