Dr. Bill Adams-Ray, a Swedish plastic surgeon working for the African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF), is assisted by a nurse while performing an operation at KCMC hospital. AMREF, an international health development NGO, manages a Flying Doctors Service that transports rotating teams of specialised doctors and surgeons to remote and underserved hospitals in eastern Africa.
