A woman undergoes treatment in an intensive care ward at a clinic, part of the Mission Barrio Adentro project. This aims to offer poor Venezuelans access to health and medical facilities and is funded from oil revenues. The project employs 30, 000 Cuban health professionals: doctors, dentists, physiotherapists and technicians etc.
