Kenita (24) hangs out her washing in front of her roundel house. She uses water from a rehabilitated borehole across the river from her home.
She says: 'From the time we got the borehole our life has transformed. Life became easier. 'Clean water is good for our health. We have been given lectures around personal hygiene.'
As you drink the water, you drink it whole heartedly without fear that you might fall sick.
'Life would be difficult without this borehole, it would mean travelling six kilometers to get water. The drought was hard, we had to sell our cattle at cheap prices. We were selling them at giveaway prices.
'Water is everything, without water there is nothing we can do.'
