Hector MacDonald (b. 1967) is a composer of Welsh heritage, living in Gaiman. He built his own studio, Bryn Alaw, in the backyard of his house. Hector collaborated with the BBC Wales composer in residence, Mark Bowden, to compose two works that marked the 150th Anniversary of the Welsh in Patagonia. These pieces were performed at the Cardiff Bay Opera House in the summer of 2015.
