Lord (52) is a Liberian who arrived at the immigration reception centre in Porto Empedocle four years ago. Since then he has been travelling and working around Italy in order to support his daughter's schooling. Thousands of would-be asylum seekers have made the perilous crossing from North Africa to the southern stretch of Sicilian coastline.
