Stephen Lerongo (42) received compensation from the British government as one of 233 Masai tribespeople killed or maimed by munitions left by the British army after exercises in northern Kenya. He still has a bad wound on his right knee. He has spent all of the money on beer, and now feeds his alcoholism by borrowing from friends.
