Anglican priest Father Steven Kakoa (right), and his acolytes preparing for a service at the Transfiguration Anglican Church of Melanesia in Lord Howe Settlement which is populated by people from Ontong Java Atoll (AKA Lord Howe Atoll), a Polynesian outlier of the Solomon Islands. Missionaries from the Melanesian Brotherhood introduced the Anglican Church to the people of Ontong Java Atoll in 1933. Now most of Ontong Javanese belong to Anglican Church, and after they moved to Lord Howe Settlement they built a small church there.
