Troops from Burkina Faso release smoke bombs during Flintlock 2020 military exercises where they are being trained by Dutch personnel.

Flintlock is U.S. Africa Command's premier special operations forces exercise. The exercise promotes Trans-Sahara Counter-Terrorism Partnership. Approximately 2,000 personnel from more than 30 African and western nations participated in the 2020 exercise.
