Protesters wearing protecive clothing and carrying umbrellas, the symbol of the resistance movement, protest with the 'Occupy Central ' movement which is organising events of civil disobedience to protest against the government's electoral policy. Hong Kong was supposed to be having direct elections for the post of chief executive by 2017 but the government in Beijing has said that the election will only be from a list of pre-approved candidates.
