An basement area used as a rubbish dump by people living in the former Grand Hotel building. In 2010 these were cleared by a team of international volunteers, but their use as a rubbish dump began again soon afterwards. Once a luxury destination for the wealthy and the continent's biggest hotel, the building is now a concrete shell and home to about 6,000 squatters. Those unable to occupy one of the rooms sleep in the corridors, basements and even on the roof of the building.
