The unfinished Hotel Algarrobico on Playa del Algarrobico. Construction, on the 21-story tourist hotel on the Mediterranean coast, began in 2003 but the building was never finished after environmentalist protested that the hotel was illegally built on protected land. After years of legal wrangling a decision was made in 2020 that the hotel would be demolished.
