Turkey pluckers enjoy a hearty meal of sausages and port at Andrew Gabriel's turkey farm. Turkey farmer Andrew Gabriel of Fenton Farm in Holcombe Rogus, Devon, asks local people from the community for a week in December to help pluck his turkeys in time for Christmas.  Everyone gathers in a shed and plucks from nine to five pm. They are paid with a hearty lunch of sausages and port. This rural tradition was passed on from Gabriel's parents. Some of the pluckers have been doing it for over 50 years.
