US Army Soldiers from Viper Company 126, 2nd Platoon, patrol near Restrepo Firebase in the restive Korengal Valley. The patrol provided an overwatch for 1st Platoon who came under fire as they built a new observation post. Restrepo, a remote outpost, is known as one of the most violent places in Afghanistan. Located in the Korengal Valley it comes under fire on a daily basis from Anti-Afghan Forces in the local villages and mountains.
