Students from Camwy College carry both the Argentine and Welsh flags in the Welsh community of Gaiman in the Y Wladfa region of Argentine Patagonia. The Welsh settlement was founded here in the nineteenth century by Welsh migrants seeking cultural independence. Today, the oldest generations still speak Welsh at home and Eisteddfods (the Welsh festival of arts) are held three times a year.
