Disarmament process - former child soldiers hand over their weapons. Before the boys are allowed to enter the disarmament camp, an American soldier checks whether all ammunition is taken out of the gun.  At the beginning of December, UNMIL (the United Nations peacekeeping force in Liberia) began to disarm the militias of former president Charles Taylor. The disarmament was marked by riots,  but after the UN decided to give 75 US Dollars to everybody who handed in a weapon, soldiers and child soldiers came in their thousands to the disarmament camps on the outskirts of Monrovia...
