Sabdio Kire has seven children: five girls and two boys. She lived a nomadic life in her childhood but after she married she moved to Kalacha. She lost everything in a drought in 1980 and now relies on relief food for her and her children. Kenya is in the midst of a severe three-year drought, and in the absence of safe drinking water and food, pastoral tribes are extremely vulnerable to disease and famine.
