Three boys prepare to go fishing using an illegal net that is so fine that even the smallest fish are caught so they don't get the chance to mature and reproduce. There are so few fish in the lagoon, due to pollution as well as over-fishing, that most fish sold in the local markets is imported from as far away as Europe. The Makoko slum is a community, under threat from eviction, built over the polluted waters of the Lagos Lagoon.
