For the 'kokpar' game, a participant puts on his special outfit, high leather boots with knee protectors, which, if necessary, are additionally secured by wrapping the knee pads with adhesive tape. The knees are one of the most injury prone areas for the 'kokparsha' player. Additional layers of padded clothing can be added under the outfit for protection. A set of boots, knee pads, 'bori'k (traditional hat) and 'kamcha' (short whip) can cost up to 60,000 Tenge (Euro 120, GBP 105).
