A man stands on top of a pile of sacks of recycled items at the Bantar Gabang landfill. A constant flow of trucks brings fresh loads of rubbish from Jakarta to the site where rubbish pickers descend on the new waste to search it for any item that can be sold on for recycling. The sacks of recycling material are taken to a nearby village where it is sorted by hand and sold on.
