A collapsed footbridge in the town of Workingham in Cumbria, which was split in two after flood waters destroyed bridges and footpaths in November 2009. The town's Northside Bridge and footpath collapsed while the Calva Bridge was left unstable. A local police officer, PC Bill Barker, died while turning traffic away from a bridge that then collapsed.
