The caretaker at the Saint Elia Christian shrine which is run by Father Douglas Bazi. Father Douglas was forced to flee to Ainkawa in Iraqi Kurdistan from his Parish in Baghdad after he was kidnapped and his community received numerous threats. Ainkawa is a largely Christian town on the outskirts of Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan. The area has become a refugee and a transit zone for Iraqi Christians fleeing persecution and sectarian strife in the rest of the country.
