Victor Alexandrovich stands in front of his destroyed garage. Victor was hiding with his wife Ala in their cellar during shelling which lasted from the beginning of April to beginning of July 2014. Their house was hit and roof was destroyed as well as their garage, a car and one of their cows burned to death. Sloviansk is currently under Ukrainian control. He says: 'I do not regret too much that we lost one cow, but my car...It burnt entirely, with the garage. I will never save the money to buy another one. We received roofing sheets from an NGO. But we are too old to repair our destroyed house.'
