One of the 'Twin Teachers', Rossy, helps a playgroup student from the Papua branch of Kartini Emergency School put on her new school uniform. Utilising local volunteer teachers, the twins have opened similar small scale schools in other parts of Indonesia which they visit regularly. Since the early 1990s, twin sisters Sri Rosyati (known as Rossy) and Sri Irianingsih (known as Rian) have used their family inheritance to set up and run 64 schools in different parts of Indonesia, providing primary education combined with practical skills to some of the country's most deprived children.
