An auto-rickshaw driver stands by his vehicle outside the Glassy Junction Pub, a bar situated at a major crossroads on the Grand Trunk Road in Jalandhar. This Punjabi town is at the centre of Sikh migration to Britain. The Glassy Junction is named after a well known pub in Southall, Middlesex, called the Glassy Inn which is said to be the only one in Britain to accept payment in Indian rupees.
