Early in the morning Talibe (children who live and study the Koran at a Daara, religious school) leave the schools and pour out on the streets to do odd jobs to raise money for their Daara. Many beg for money and food. 	<br />
Their Marabouts (teachers) demand they raise a certain amount of money each day, which varies depending on the age of the children. They demand the money each day, and if the correct sum isn't brought back the children are punished.
