Children are entertained by members of the temple staff dressed in futuristic warrior's costumes during a Kaisanki prayer and memorial event at the Onsenji Temple. The temple is called Kinosaki Onsen no Shugoji, guardian temple of Kinosaki Onsen, and it has protected Kinosaki Onsen and its bathers for approximately 1,300 years. Every April 23rd and 24th the doors of the shrine is opened to view the sacred Buddha figures during a Kaisanki ceremony.
