Donated clothes from Oxfam shops around the country are sorted into batches (lightweight, heavyweight, vintage etc) and then baled up at the Wastesaver Site in Huddersfield, Yorkshire. Over 150 tonnes of lightweight clothing is sent to Senegal each month. Bras are in particular high demand in Senegal as the item of clothing that traders can get the most money for and Oxfam are launching a campaign, The Big Bra Hunt to encourage more people in the UK to donate to their shops.
