A building housing sacks of radioactive waste from decontamination operations that followed the destruction of the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant in the 2011 earthquake and tsunami (in Japan often known as the Great East Japan Earthquake). To the left is a solar-powered Geiger counter which monitors the radiation levels around the facility. However, these clean up efforts have been criticised by people who claim that each time it rains the area is re-contaminated.
