A cycling light show anticipates Yorkshire's hosting of the Grand Depart, the first two stages of the 2014 Tour de France. Road racing bikes and their riders, equipped with unique lighting technology by British arts organisation NVA, combine the athleticism of sport with choreography by Yorkshire-based Phoenix Dance Theatre. Live performances of Ghost Peloton, staged in front of a film of the illuminated cyclists following the route of the Tour de France, have been recorded for broadcast in more than 150 countries over the opening two days of the world’s most famous cycling race.
