A tribal woman eats a meal of rice and lentils at Kasoli camp, one of 23 "salwa judum camps" for internally displaced people. The salwa judum, or "purification hunt" was a grassroots anti-maoist uprising that became politicized and backed by right wing political parties and government security forces. More than 300,000 people were forced to flee their homes due to the threat of violence. At present, there are between fifity and one hundred thousand people still residing in camps, which have previously come under attack by Naxal insurgents. /Felix Features
