Fire fighters retreat as flames from the Green Wattle Creek fire, just south-west of Sydney, spreads dangerously towards them engulfing woodland as it does so. Firefighters warned that the fire, which has already burnt out more than 35,000 hectares of land, was burning out of control threatening lives and homes. Three firefighters working in the vicinity were flown to hospital while residents were been forced to evacuate their homes.
