A mosquito net covers a bed at the home of LBGT activist Sam Ganafa. He has been unable to return to live there since tabloid newspaper Red Pepper published a list of 200 people, including their full names, that it described as 'Uganda's top 200 homos.' Ganafa's name was on the list. After the publication police and his neighbours raided and looted his home. On 24 February 2014, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni signed in a law allowing for life sentences for homosexuals. Since then, a climate of fear has spread among the members of the country's gay and lesbian community who have been going into hiding or leaving the country
