A makeshift camp in the woods. It was probably a temporary shelter for undocumented migrants crossing the Hungarian/Serbian border by fording a nearby loop from the Tisza River. This route is popular with migrants since, as yet, there is only the small waterway to cross in order to get into Hungary (and the EU). The migrants then usually stay hidden along the forested banks of the Tisza until an opportunity to move on arises, usually a taxi from the nearby city of Szeged. The practice is illegal, but the authorities generally turn a blind eye to the taxi drivers making extra income this way, and at the same time moving on the problem of what to do with the huge numbers of unwanted migrants.
