After the Russian invasion in February 2022, followed by a full war, the entire Ukrainian Black Sea coastline has been transformed into a fortified line. One of the biggest fears was that an invasion by sea will follow so the beaches were prepared for war. Trenches have been dug, light bunkers from beach sand, waters and shores have been mined and public access has been strictly forbidden. But the Black Sea has a very powerful meaning to the people living nearby and some residents don't strictly follow the rules and have been adventuring for a swim, even after some cases of people being killed by mines some people are still willing to risk all for a dip in the sea.
