Hindu pilgrims walk along a mountain trail as they climb the Pissu Top pass (1500 feet, 3,400 metres) enroute to the Amarnath Cave. The pilgrims brave sub-zero temperatures and high altitude passes to reach the cave which houses a lingam, a stylised phallus, worshiped by Hindus as a symbol of the God Shiva.
