A member of the Maidan Battalion Self-Defence runs towards a clash near the Verkhovna Rada (Parlaiment). Politicians have been pressing people on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) to leave the centre of the city, resulting in some skirmishes, but many activists feel the presence of the camp is necessary and it must remain until to keep pressure on the government.
