Mother of one of the victims killed when a garment factory collapsed in the Savar region killing 70 and injuring over 100. She lost her son. The garment industry accounts for four-fifths of Bangladesh's foreign revenues and employs about 1.8 million workers, mostly women and mostly low paid. Garment workers regularly die in industrial accidents and safety standards remain low by international standards.
