Relatives of a tuk-tuk driver help him lie down at his home in Sadr City the day after he was shot in his abdomen with a tear gas canister allegedly fired by security forces.

Since the beginning of October 2019 huge anti-government protests have shaken the country. People demanding reforms and an end to corruption and foreign intervention have been met with fierce brutality from security forces. In October alone more than 200 people were said to have been killed.
